Day 2: Of Libraries and Imagine Dragons
Dear Reader,
So today I went to the library and I got my library card. HOLD YOUR HORSES. Don’t freak out on my yet. I just moved into my new house a couples months ago and up until now I haven’t had a reason to go to the library. I have had plenty of books that I had bought (a present to myself) to read. I ran out of them yesterday and since the local library was closed I had to wait until today.
Anyway I walked into the library and the first thing I notice is how the librarian is looking at me. Her gaze just screamed, “What are you doing here, you rascal?” It’s like she thought I was going to destroy something in there. For goodness sake I wasn’t even wearing anything provoking. It was a pair of jeans and a Sherlock t-shirt. I don’t know. Well I got my books and got out of there, it just made me think about our perceived notions of people because of their age, height, weight, sex, clothes, hairstyle, teeth, reading choice, music choice, ect..
Personally, I believe it is wrong to judge people from what you see or heard and I try my hardest not to. I guess that is something to think about. Do you think you judge people harshly on their appearance?
Anyway I got these books while at the library:
1. Paper Towns-John Green
2. Looking For Alaska-John Green
3. Life of Pi-Yann Martel
4. Water For Elephants-Sara Gruen
What do you think about these books?
Also I think I found one of my new favorite songs. It’s Time by Imagine Dragons. I believe it was the move Perks of Being a Wallflower. I am not for sure though. Tell me what you think of this song.
