Day 13: Sorry :(

Dear Reader,

Sorry all I wrote yesterday was that I had written 2 essays in less than 12 hours. I guess you can say that I was all worded out. Today I wrote two poems, well I am still in the process of writing my second one, but it’s almost done.

I want to post it on tumblr, but I don’t want it to be stolen. Well I guess I’ll leave now.

Day 11: Detachment

Dear Reader,

Today I watched this movie entitled Detachment. Here is what is says for the description:

A Tribeca Film. Adrien Brody (in his most acclaimed performance since THE PIANIST), Marcia Gay Harden & Christina Hendricks star in this award-winning drama about teachers and students in a troubled high school. From the director of AMERICAN HISTORY

The movie focuses more on the teacher’s struggle and what they go through then the students, which is a very different angle and though I worried about it at first I found it to be very beautifully written and acted out. I will warn you ahead of time; however, that if you are planning to show it to younger audiences or you don’t wish to watch certain “risky” movies around people that you preview it before hand. When I say “risky” I don’t mean it in a sexual sense, but more of a emotional sense. It gets right in there and doesn’t sugar coat anything. Also an extreme about of cursing and rough subjects are brought up in this movie.

Personally I really love this movie, because of the way it captures the thoughts and feelings of everyone in it. I don’t recommend it for the faint of hear though. They seemed to have fit just about everything that’s wrong with the world today in to this movie! Can’t you see it’s not just about teachers or the school system, the real problem is that everyone pops a few kids out and then doesn’t give half a crap what ever happens to them after that! It’s a wonder anyone turns out ok in this world where no one is ever parented, guided or cared about. You breeders pop ‘em out but you don’t do anything to guide them. We’ve got a society full of wild animals left to fend for themselves. This is why people are as horrible as they are. It starts with parenting the kids you have, and everyone else caring about everyone else if we’re to have any hope of living in a decent world again.

Day 10: Scholarships

Dear Reader,

First off, did you enjoy yesterday’s entry? I thought it would be something different. Anyway today I want to talk about scholarships and how much it sucks to have to fill these out. I have hundreds if not thousands of scholarships to fill out right now and I know it’ll help me pay for my schooling, but it just sucks so much. Besides they all have to have an essay and all of them are about different subjects.

There are the National Scholarships, the community foudations scholarships, and the local scholarships to fill out. I feel really swamped right now and it doesn’t help me want to do it, but I guess I might as well start. Send me luck, please.

Day 9: A Note to My Future Roommate

Dear Roommate,

By the time you have received this I have mostly likely deemed you good enough to become my roommate or you are the only one who will put up with me. If it’s the latter thanks! So I am writing this to tell you a bit more about myself also I am very bored and I can’t stop thinking about who you might be which is weird. I know. I am sorry.

Anyway let’s get going. Dearest roommate, I am sorry about all the things I am invetibly going to do. Sometimes I get moody and depressed and won’t talk…other times I won’t stop. I’ll probably procrastinate and complain about how I never have enough time. I also like to get up about 10 minutes before I have to be anywhere. Also sometimes I am dramatic and I like to make stories up in my head. I also have a bad sleeping schedule.

To my roommate, I really like the color purple. You’ll be wondering why my entire side of the room is orange when I really like purple. Simple. My friend got me an orange box for Christmas and I wanted to take it to college with me, but I wanted it to match everything else. (Is the considered OCD?) I like Doctor Who, Sherlock, Supernatural, and Merlin and I’ll talk about them constantly. Please don’t hate me. I also like really random music and will probably become obsessed with so many different things you’ll have a hard time keeping track.

I am not very social so if I don’t talk much or want to hang out all the time it’s because I am shy. Please don’t hate me. Also saying that I am Education and English major and a Psychology and Philosophy major.

Oh and by the way I will probably face time my mom all the time. Sorry, but she is really cool. Also one weekend out of every month I will most likely be gone to visit her.

Okay that is all I can think to tell you right now. I hope you like me as much as I hope to like you. Okay bye :D

Day 7 & 8 : Guys I am a Loser

Dear Readers,

I have decided since this had been difficult for the past couple of days for me to find time to write that I won’t feel so bad if I don’t post that day. I know it is so early to be breaking my resolution, I just feel that if I don’t have anything interesting to say then there is no reason for me to write.

Anyway I finished reading, Water for Elephant and that was fantastic. I suggest checking it out if you want a good read though it is quiet sexually descriptive. A lot more than what I am comfortable with.

Day 6: Nostalgia

Dear Reader,

As you learned previously I took a road trip to visit my family. I made it there safe, around midnight. I had to sleep on the floor, but other than that my night went pretty good.

When I woke up, my grandma asked me to go through some of my boxes and take what ever I need so she could sell/throw everything else away. I found some really cool things it the box and it made me a little nostalgic. Among some of the things I found, there was a GameBoy with the games Pokemon Gold and Fire. There was also my favorite blanket as a child and a VHS tape of my favorite movie. (I’m only naming these, because they are the one’s I kept.)

The Gameboy was pretty awesome and still worked. Right now I have a level 12 Bulbasaur, level 12 Pidgey, level 9 Rattata, Metapod, and Kakunna. [I don’t think I spelled any of those names wrong, but if I did please forgive me.] I am planning on actually trying to beat the Elite 4 on my first try. I’ll keep you updated later on my progression.

The blanket is self explanatory  I don’t know exactly why I kept it, but it was soft and smelled the way I imagined it would. My mom told me I called it blankeywankey when I was a child.

The last thing was my VHS tape. It’s called Britt Allcroft’s Magic Adventures of Mumfie. All I am going to say is that I watched it again and it was fantastic, though it had it’s own logic and now that I am thinking about it, this movie was probably the reason why I thought I could breath under water. Anyway if you want to check it out I found a cool blog about it on tumblr. Here is the link.

Trust me, you won’t regret if you take a look.

Okay I am going to get some sleep. See you tomorrow!

Day 5: Road Trips

Dear Reader,

So today I drove the 500 miles it took to visit the other half of my family (which is why this is being uploaded tomorrow and not today). It was pretty awesome, I stopped by this gas station. The lady who worked the cash register asked me if I wanted to see a picture of her dog. I politely turned her down. Sorry lady. I am actually typing this out on my cellphone at a stop light, because that’s how cool I am.

Oh I am visiting my family, because it is my cousin’s birthday tomorrow. She is having like this huge birthday party and if I missed it…I would most likely be kicked out of my family and that would suck. I stayed up here a couple days later than my mother, because I had school, but I don’t have any reason to not go anymore.

Don’t get me wrong I love my family, but they are so dramatic about everything. Literally this is how a conversation with my grandma could go:

Grandma: So did you pick up the marmalade?

Me: Oh I forgot I’ll go and-

Grandma: You’ve ruined this holiday! Ugh why can’t you do anything right? I asked for thing and you couldn’t have gotten it. I don’t even want to..blah blah blah blah.

Anyway, I am going to go. I’ll update you on my family tomorrow.

Day 4: Surprise!

Dear Reader,

I feel horrible. I missed writing in my blog for the fourth day by 13 minutes. I’ve got a good reason though! A couple friends and I decided to through another one of our friends a birthday party. A surprise birthday party! It was actually pretty fun. We played this board game called quelf and watched tv and listened to music and threw darts and explored my creepy house. Ugh I can’t believe I already broke my New Years resolution. I feel lame….

Okay bye.

Day 3: Starting School and No Sleep

Dear Reader,

So today was my first day back to school. It was horrible by the way and the entire time I kept thinking, “If I throw up right now I could go home. Right?” I really do not like anybody in my classes. Most of them are really obnoxious. It was made worse today by the fact that I woke up at 2 this morning and couldn’t go back to sleep. I was literally so I tried I passed out on my bed for two hours as soon as I got  home.

I am excited to be taking my short stories class; however, because it seems like it’s going to be fun. Econ will suck. So will Sociology. And Medical Terminology. I really don’t want to go back to school tomorrow. Ugh.

Well I am going to try and get some sleep now, I promise to write more tomorrow when I don’t feel like I am about to pass out from exhaustion.

By the way….HELLO to the new subscriber I got the other day. Thanks for following me. <3

Day 2: Of Libraries and Imagine Dragons

Dear Reader,

So today I went to the library and I got my library card. HOLD YOUR HORSES. Don’t freak out on my yet. I just moved into my new house a couples months ago and up until now I haven’t had a reason to go to the library. I have had plenty of books that I had bought (a present to myself) to read. I ran out of them yesterday and since the local library was closed I had to wait until today.

Anyway I walked into the library and the first thing I notice is how the librarian is looking at me. Her gaze just screamed, “What are you doing here, you rascal?” It’s like she thought I was going to destroy something in there. For goodness sake I wasn’t even wearing anything provoking. It was a pair of jeans and a Sherlock t-shirt. I don’t know. Well I got my books and got out of there, it just made me think about our perceived notions of people because of their age, height, weight, sex, clothes, hairstyle, teeth, reading choice, music choice, ect..

Personally, I believe it is wrong to judge people from what you see or heard and I try my hardest not to. I guess that is something to think about. Do you think you judge people harshly on their appearance?

Anyway I got these books while at the library:

1. Paper Towns-John Green

2. Looking For Alaska-John Green

3. Life of Pi-Yann Martel

4. Water For Elephants-Sara Gruen

What do you think about these books?

Also I think I found one of my new favorite songs. It’s Time by Imagine Dragons. I believe it was the move Perks of Being a Wallflower. I am not for sure though. Tell me what you think of this song.

You Can find the song here : http://vimeo.com/25017978

Day 1: New Year Resolutions

Dear Reader,

Welcome to the New Year. Congratulations on living to see 2013, for some I know that is a big accomplishment (me included). Anyway, I hope that so far it has been good. If not you still have 364 days for it to get better.

Today, my mother was telling me about her New Year Resolutions, they included:

1. Lose Weight

2. Stop Smoking

3. Be a better mother.

First, I had assure her she was a fine mother, but after that I asked if dieting and stop smoking would make her happy. She said no, but that she had to. While I agree that she should stop smoking what I don’t understand is why that has to be her New Year Resolution. Why can’t it be just something that she does. For me a new year resolution is suppose to make YOU happy! Do something that YOU enjoy. Personally I don’t believe a bunch of withdrawal symptoms as being fun. That’s why I plan on exercising and getting better grades, but my new year resolutions are as following:

1. Write in my blog everyday

2. Enjoy Life

3. Make Friends

4. Do something important.

That’s my resolutions. What are some of yours?

#personal #life #what is my life #blogging #journal?
Dear Reader,

I am writing this from the security of my bedroom and you are most likely reading this from the security of your’s—unless if you are reading this as you dangle off a cliff and in that case please put down the device you are using to read this and pull yourself up! Okay, are you safe now? Good.

Now I can introduce myself. Hello, my name is Kay. Today as we all know will be the last day of the 2012 year and like many people around the world I have been considering New Year’s resolution ideas. Last year I had decided to pick up the ukulele and learn to play that. This year I have decided to keep a blog for an entire year.

The plan, for this blog, is to record my thoughts and feelings about things happening in my life every single day. Yes, that’s right 365 posts about my life. It’ll be kind of like a journal, except people can actually read this, which would be slightly strange. Anyway, I hope that what I have to say interests you and that you don’t get too annoyed with my ramblings.
